GLP-2 TZ
Dual-Incretin Metabolic Compound - Dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor co-agonist studied in glucose-handling and energy-balance research.
GLP-2 TZ is a dual-incretin research peptide that engages both the GIP and GLP-1 receptors - the two-receptor strategy studied for combined effects on glucose handling, insulin signaling and energy-balance regulation.
The property most often cited in the literature is that it is GIP-forward - relatively more potent at the GIP receptor than at GLP-1 - so it tends to be used as a comparator when separating GIP-driven from GLP-1-driven effects rather than as a general incretin control. Receptor-selectivity panels report the two potencies separately for that reason.

Studied pathways
- Dual incretin signaling - Studied for simultaneous GIP- and GLP-1-receptor activity in glucose-handling and energy-balance models.
Reported mechanisms in the literature
- Primary incretin axis - Engages the GIP receptor with near-native affinity - the GIP-forward half of the dual-agonist profile studied for insulin signaling and energy handling. (Willard et al.)
- Co-agonist axis - Simultaneously engages the GLP-1 receptor, combining two incretin signals in one molecule for amplified glucose- and appetite-pathway activity. (Frías et al.)
What GLP-2 TZ is researched for
- Energy-balance regulation - Studied as a dual GIP/GLP-1 co-agonist for glucose-handling and energy-balance endpoints in metabolic research. (Published metabolic literature)
- Glucose handling - Investigated for combined GIP- and GLP-1-receptor activity on insulin signaling and glucose-handling endpoints. (Frías et al.)

Research notes: GLP-2 TZ
Background
GLP-2 TZ is a long, fatty-acid-modified peptide (about 4,813 g/mol, 39 residues) studied as a dual agonist of the GIP and GLP-1 receptors. Despite "GLP-2" in the catalog name, it is not a GLP-2 receptor agonist; the two receptors under study are GIP and GLP-1. Receptor-pharmacology work on this class describes it as imbalanced, with more potency at the GIP receptor than at the GLP-1 receptor, and biased in how it signals at the GLP-1 receptor (Willard et al., 2020). Discovery-to-proof-of-concept and clinical development are reviewed by Coskun et al. (2018) and Frias et al. (2018). Because the GIP arm dominates, the class is often used to separate GIP-driven from GLP-1-driven effects in glucose, insulin-signaling and energy-balance models.
What the Aspect certificates show
There are 13 certificate records across four vial sizes (10mg, 30mg, 60mg, 100mg), all from Freedom Diagnostics, dated 11 March 2026 to 18 September 2026. Reported HPLC purity runs from 99.61% to 99.99%. Identity is confirmed by LC-MS/MS, and the appearance is reported as white lyophilized powder. Two of the records print no lot number on the report; the certificate table shows "See certificate" for those. Each full report is available as a PDF on this page and in the COA library.
How it differs from related compounds
GLP-3 RT adds a third receptor (glucagon) to the incretin pair, so comparing the two separates a two-receptor from a three-receptor profile. 5-Amino-1MQ is a metabolic comparator with an unrelated mechanism: it inhibits an enzyme rather than binding a receptor.
