KPV
Alpha-MSH C-Terminal Fragment - α-MSH C-terminal fragment studied for inflammatory signaling.
KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, studied for its reported anti-inflammatory activity without the pigmentary effects of the parent peptide.
Because KPV retains the anti-inflammatory activity of α-MSH without the receptor engagement responsible for pigmentation, it is studied as a cleaner probe of that pathway. Research emphasis is on epithelial and mucosal-barrier models rather than systemic endpoints.

Research notes: KPV
Background
KPV is the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, residues 11 to 13 at the C-terminus of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). It is studied as the part of alpha-MSH that keeps anti-inflammatory activity without the receptor engagement linked to pigmentation. In published work in intestinal epithelial cells and mouse colitis models, KPV was taken up through the peptide transporter PepT1, which is expressed more strongly in inflamed epithelium, and was reported to reduce pro-inflammatory signaling and colitis severity (Dalmasso et al., 2008; Kannengiesser et al., 2008). Luger and Brzoska (2007) review the wider family of alpha-MSH-related peptides. Research emphasis is on epithelial and mucosal-barrier models.
What the Aspect certificates show
There are 4 certificate records for the 10mg vial, from two laboratories (Freedom Diagnostics and Accurate Test Labs), dated 17 December 2025 to 3 October 2026. Reported HPLC purity runs from 99.21% to 99.75%. Identity is confirmed by LC-MS/MS, and the appearance is reported as white lyophilized powder. Each full report is available as a PDF on this page and in the COA library.
How it differs from related compounds
Melanotan II is a cyclic alpha-MSH analog that activates several melanocortin receptors; KPV is studied precisely because it does not. KPV is one of four components in the KLOW blend, alongside GHK-Cu, BPC-157 and TB-500, so the single-compound lots here are the reference for that component.
