Ipamorelin
Growth Hormone Secretagogue - Selective GH secretagogue studied for receptor-selective GH release.
Ipamorelin is a selective growth-hormone secretagogue and ghrelin-receptor agonist, studied for its reported ability to stimulate GH release without significantly affecting cortisol or prolactin.
Ipamorelin is prized in research for its selectivity - it stimulates GH release through the ghrelin receptor with minimal effect on cortisol or prolactin, giving a cleaner readout than earlier secretagogues. It is a common partner for GHRH analogs in combination GH studies.

Research notes: Ipamorelin
Background
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide (Aib-His-D-2Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) and agonist of the ghrelin (growth-hormone secretagogue) receptor. It was introduced as the first selective growth-hormone secretagogue: it released growth hormone while, unlike earlier secretagogues such as GHRP-6, GHRP-2 and hexarelin, not raising ACTH or cortisol in the original animal work (Raun et al., 1998). Its pharmacokinetics and growth-hormone response were later modeled in human volunteers (Gobburu et al., 1999), and a ghrelin-receptor agonist profile was examined in a rodent model of postoperative ileus (Venkova et al., 2009).
What the Aspect certificates show
There are 5 certificate records for the 10mg vial, all from Freedom Diagnostics, dated 20 February 2026 to 12 August 2026. Reported HPLC purity runs from 99.51% to 99.98%. Identity is confirmed by LC-MS/MS, and the appearance is reported as white lyophilized powder. Each full report is available as a PDF on this page and in the COA library.
How it differs from related compounds
Ipamorelin acts at the ghrelin receptor, whereas CJC-1295 DAC, CJC-1295, Sermorelin and Tesamorelin are analogs of growth-hormone-releasing hormone and act at the GHRH receptor. The two receptor families are studied together because they release growth hormone by different routes; the CJC / IPA blend holds a fixed ratio of both.
