Kisspeptin
Hypothalamic Neuropeptide - Upstream regulator of the reproductive hormone axis.
Kisspeptin is a neuropeptide that acts as a master regulator upstream of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, studied extensively in reproductive-endocrinology research.
Kisspeptin sits at the very top of the reproductive hormone cascade, upstream of GnRH, which has made it a heavily studied target in reproductive endocrinology including human clinical work. The Kisspeptin-10 fragment is the common research form.

Research notes: Kisspeptin
Background
The research form of kisspeptin is kisspeptin-10, the ten-residue C-terminal fragment of the KISS1 gene product and the shortest fragment that fully activates its receptor, GPR54 (also called KISS1R). Interest in it came from human genetics: inactivating GPR54 mutations cause hypogonadotropic hypogonadism and failure to enter puberty (Seminara et al., 2003; de Roux et al., 2003). Kisspeptin was then shown to stimulate release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) through GPR54 (Messager et al., 2005). It sits at the top of the reproductive hormone cascade, upstream of GnRH, which is why it is a standard probe of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis.
What the Aspect certificates show
There are 2 certificate records for the 10mg vial, both from Freedom Diagnostics, dated 9 January 2026 and 6 July 2026. Reported HPLC purity is 99.08% and 99.72%. Identity is confirmed by LC-MS/MS, and the appearance is reported as white lyophilized powder. Each full report is available as a PDF on this page and in the COA library.
How it differs from related compounds
Kisspeptin acts at the top of the cascade (kisspeptin, then GnRH, then LH and FSH, then the gonads), so it is not interchangeable with compounds further down. The melanocortin analogs PT-141 and Melanotan II are studied in related central pathways but through melanocortin, not kisspeptin, receptors.
